Charlotte Wright is an experienced early childhood educator, having worked with children and their families all over the world. Motivated to address challenges she witnessed as an educator on a more systemic level, she pivoted her career from early childhood educator to early childhood researcher and policy analyst. She is a champion for play for all ages, particularly for our youngest, who need play to develop, learn, and thrive. With “schoolification” on the rise, she is particularly interested in studying how a child’s right to play can be best defended - the motivation for her design of the ERPEC.

Charlotte earned an Ed.M. in International Educational Development, with a concentration in Early Childhood Development and Policy, from Teachers College, Columbia University. She also has an M.S. in Early Childhood Education from Boston University’s Wheelock College of Education and Human Development and a B.A. in Child Development from Tufts University.
